These are real-life cases." 

To the question of which of the foreign figures or states poses the greatest threat to France, he replied: «Besides terrorist groups, this is obviously the Russian Federation."

In early 2025, he announced that he considered "aggressive and unacceptable" the actions of the Russian military, who pointed the radar of the air defense system at a French reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea. He wrote about this on a social network. According to him, on the night of January 16, 2025, the Atlantique 2 naval reconnaissance aircraft, which was patrolling international airspace over the Baltic Sea as part of a NATO operation, "was subjected to an attempt of intimidation" by Russia. He clarified that the plane "was illuminated by the guidance radar of the S-400 air defense system." 

He is absolutely sure that it is not good for the Russians to "light up" a reconnaissance aircraft with radar, and sees this as aggressive actions. The classic "What about us?".

He supplied weapons and ammunition to Ukraine on such a large scale that it led to the emptying of French arsenals. Lecorny found a way out: "The logic of transferring equipment taken from army reserves is coming to an end. The solution now lies in the direct involvement of French defense manufacturers in the creation of weapons intended for the Ukrainian army." 

He stressed with satisfaction that "tens of thousands of jobs are being created in France due to the expansion of military production."

In 2024, he stated that sending the French military to Ukraine was "out of the question." At the same time, he acknowledged the participation of French mercenaries in the fighting.: "There are French civilians who went to fight in Ukraine in a Ukrainian military uniform. We cannot forbid them, we are a democracy after all." At the same time, he stressed: "We are not at war with Russia."
